ARF!

Well, it has been a long time since I last posted, not that anyone really reads this haha. But since my last post, I have made a ton of new friends, and have met a girl that I am really starting to like :). I have also figured out what I want to major in in college! Audio Engineering! I am hoping to go to Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. After that I want to start my own label. After I get set in the music business I want to go to seminary and become a youth pastor and a traveling preacher and musician. Sounds like a lot to do, I know. But with God's help I can do it.

Now onto my new found social life! I have been attending a sunday night youth group called U-Nite. It is really fun and I have made a lot of new friends! It is led by the pastor of Gateway Life Church, Mike Gowans, who is a really nice guy and he just happens to have connections at Belmont! YAY!!! Some of my new friends consist of Lucas, Dana, Jenna, Devin, Carissa, Preston aka The Rapper Jesse Thomas (http://therapperjessethomas.com/) he is really good! and a lot of other people too.

My life is going really good now, and I am hoping to keep it that way. I have been drama free and everything for so long now I forgot what drama was like, and I love it! :D

Any ways that was just a quick update so yeah! Hope you enjoy it and.....

God Bless You All! I am praying for you guys :D!

Been a few weeks!

It's been a few weeks since I lasted updated, so I thought I should update!

What has been going on recently....well I started college and am LOVING it! The people are so cool, the teachers are relaxed and I make my own schedule! No more waking up super early to be at school! YES!!!!
Also, my family recently moved into this awesome new house, and I love the new house! It is a bigger house, and has a basketball court! So sick! To top it all off, I got a copy of Halo: Reach before it come out and already beat the campaign! Such a good game! I recommend it to EVERYONE!

Another Lovely post!

Well, I don't really know what to talk about on this one, just felt the need to write! I guess I will just give you an update on this past week?

Alright well, Monday and Tuesday I was at work all day, not really what I like to do during my last few weeks of summer, but oh well! Wednesday I slept in and just relaxed...now that I mention it I kind of did that Wednesday, Thursday and Friday...so I kind of had a very unproductive week. It was pretty nice though seeing as I had been busy so much lately!

I start school in about a week and I am uber excited for it! It is the start of my freshmen year of college! This time in my life is very bitter sweet though. As you can tell from my last post, my best friend of 16 years moved away, and today my other best friend of 10 or so years moved too! Not to mention Many of my other friends are moving this upcoming week! As much as I like that fact that I am staying at home for the next few years, seeing as it's cheaper, I also regret not pushing myself to get the scholarships needed to go to certain colleges and such. Oh well though! It is all in God's plan!  Anyways, this may put a damper on some of my friendships, but friendship isn't about distance, its about caring and being there for someone no matter what, and I have that no matter how far we are!

Well, God bless you all! I will be writing probably after school starts(the 23rd!)so.....SEE YOU THEN! :D

This is it.....

The day has finally arrived! My best friend of 16 years, Hunter Smith, is moving out to Tuscon tomorrow to attend U of A. I remember one day when we were about 10 and I had my mom call all the Rick and Terri Smiths in his area code in Colorado till we found him. I also remember all the times we went to his house and played stupid mindless games on his computer and then made pizza or pigs in a blanket. Or the time when we played in his pool acting like we were jedi's.

I have gone through so much with this kid! He has been there for me when I was at my lowest and there for me when everything was going great. I will miss him so much! But I also know that this won't end our friendship! We remained friends when he moved to Colorado, and even still when he moved to Florida! What makes someone think we won't still be friends when he moves to college? He is 2 hours away, that won't hurt a thing! I know God has huge plans for him and that he will go places!

I love you Hunter Allan Smith! You are truly my brother and best friend! God Bless and I will be praying for you!

Summer 10

Wow.....where do I begin? This has been the greatest summer of my life! I knew it was going to be good, but not like this! I went from Prescott, AZ to New Orleans, LA back to Phoenix, then I did Vacation Bible School, then I went to Glorieta, NM! And worked in between it all! To top it all off, I turned 18 and graduated from High School! Who could've asked for a better summer!?

Prescott, AZ......Kids Camp! I had the opportunity of becoming a counselor for my churches annual Kids Camp. The theme this year was Holy Armor, The Armor of God! It was a great week, and I spent it with some great people. Whether I was hearing kids scream, "COMMANDER, COMMANDER" (my nickname for the week) or I was hanging out with Aaron Whiteley, Bailey Williams, and Rachel Butler eating junk food, listening to music and partying it up, it was so good. What I loved most was that I was leading worship for them after playing guitar for only a few short months, and I would say it went well! That week is going to be a week I shall never forget!

Now onto New Orleans! It was my last Mission Trip with Living Water! It was an amazing week! I got to know more people and had NO DRAMA, a first for me when it comes to Mission Trip, haha. But that week we were helping the St. Bernard Project with some serious problems left over from Hurricane Katrina, yes 5 years after the great storm there are still houses untouched! Although I had never sweat more and worked harder in my life, I would say it was one of the best Mission Trips I had been on, not just because of the work projects, but also due to the fact that I met some great people and had one particular experience. It was our last worship concert of the week and it was my favorite. Not because we were leaving but because God was so evident there. It was my first time sharing my testimony, and it won't be the last! It may have been small, but it was awesome!

Ah, VBS! This year the theme was Saddle Ridge Ranch! I was a leader in the Recreation department. It was my job to let the kids play games, while learn about Jesus! I had done rec the past 4 or 5 years, but this year was different. We had a new rec leader, Brian McCoy, but what was so different was the fact that he put me in charge! I had to pick the games, arrange when to play, and figure out how to make them more fun than they were. The truth is, after the first day I epically failed! I couldn't believe it. But the next day came around and I started making up my own games, and the kids really enjoyed them. I also was able to be part of the Worship Rally dramas and dances. I was the infamous Saddle Ridge Ranch Bandit every day! I got caught, every day but they let me go cause I promised to follow Jesus and to help out! Now the dances.....that was a fun sight! I learned them on stage in front of everyone during the Worship Rally! The kids noticed and I was embarrassed! But oh well, it was fun and SO worth it!

Camp, Camp, Camp! There is really no way to describe it this year, but indescribable! It was my highlight for the Summer! I didn't really like the band or pastor very much, but my Bible Study, The Stallions, reigned supreme over all the other groups! My bible study was unique, and the moment I walked into those doors, I knew something was off. But was I wrong! It wasn't off it was extraordinary! In the first five minutes everyone seemed to ignore the fact that we are from all over the country and dove right into awesome friendships! We all had gotten along but for me in particular I get to know 4 individuals, Cassie, Chaz, Ray and Ethan. These kids were amazing! They cheered as loud as they could, They ran around as much as possible and most of all they loved each other! The first day of rec came, and I knew we needed to show the other groups who we were! So at the rec rally, I grabbed the flag stood in front of our group and started chanting STALLIONS, STALLIONS, STALLIONS! to the point where my voice was going away. I then shouted WHO ARE WE!? and the group repeated, STALLIONS! and we did that to the point where my voice did go away! That day we won the Spirit Cup and showed who we were! The week went on this was pretty much every day, then Mega came up! We tried our hardest, but sadly we lost by a few seconds. We cheered on the group who won and moved on. To this day, one month after camp, the Stallions are still in contact and we are  planning a reunion this winter! Oh yeah, good year at camp!

Now, I start school in about 2 weeks and I am excited! I am all registered and ready to start the beginning of the rest of my life!
